Paediatric First Aid L3 Blended Learning For Schools –

Altham, Thursday 31st January 2019

Schools and Nurseries need to be compliant with both HSE and Ofsted EYFS. Legally you have to be able to evidence that your School or Nursery have the appropriate first aid provision for your organisation.

Guidelines state there should be at least one person available at all times (per 50 employees) who are trained with an HSE qualification. Should you have to 50 employees, this can be a one-day Emergency First Aid at Work qualification. For more than 50 employees you should have 3-day First Aid at Work qualifications with Emergency First Aid at Work staff supporting them.

For the EYFS and Ofsted requirements, you should have at least one 12 hours full
Paediatric First Aid qualified member of staff available at all times including cover for sickness, holidays and trips. One-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid can support the 12-hour paediatric first aid trained staff trained staff.

We train the 12-hour full paediatric qualification as blended learning, with 6 hours pre-learning through a workbook and 6 hours as a practical course.
